SOLD !!

Just a brief follow-up to last week’s edition. The 2010 MMOGTA Annual Consignment Auction is now a done deal. With the one day respite from a week filled with rain showers, the weather was favorable, with relatively cool temps, and some sun shine for the crowd to enjoy. The only thing missing was the traditional strawberry shortcake from the club kitchen.

Attendance was decent, and a row of nearly 30 tractors attracted lots of interest from the guys with the numbers in their pockets, while some bargains were to be found in the rows of treasure in the field. Auctioneer Tim Narhi and his crew did a great job of organizing an efficient, fast paced sale. All in all, the prices probably suited the buyers better than the sellers, perhaps a reflection on the general economy in the State of Michigan.

Two more sales remain on our schedule for the 2010 calendar year, the Lawrence and Russell Haak sale near Oakley on June 22nd, and the big Koski Brothers Antique Tractor Auction at the showgrounds on October 2nd.
